The Samsung S5230 is a beautiful touch screen phone from Samsung, with a massive 3 inch screen and fairly decent spec.Samsung S5230 Design
The Samsung S5230 looks very similar to the Samsung S5600 and has almost the same measurements at 104 x 53 x 11.9 mm and weighing 92grams. The first noticable difference is that the screen of the S5230 is a massive 3 inches, and secondly the buttons beneath the screen are push buttons and not touch sensitive and the NavPad is a little smaller.
Samsung S5230 Music
The built-in music player, with an FM Radio, supports all the popular music formats such as (MP3, AAC & WMA). There is only 50MB of internal memory but this can be increased to up to 8 gigs by using a MicroSD card. Once again Samsung have been a little selfish with the music player, so although the sound is decent it isnt at the top of the scale.
Samsung S5230 Camera
The camera on the S5230 Samsung has 3 mega pixels, LED flash and auto focus. There are two advanced features which include Smile Detection - which automatically takes a picture when someone smiles, and Picture Album - which is basically a way of displaying and viewing images that is quite neat.
Samsung S5230 Internet and Applications
Apart from the basic applications like calendar, alarm and organiser, there are also some advanced apps. These include Hand recognition, and Screen Gesture Lock. Screen Gesture Lock allows you to unlock the phone by drawing a letter on the screen. This automatically unlocks the phone and opens up a predetermined program/app that you had linked to that letter previously. Expect a good internet connection using EDGE, GPRS and bluetooth, but there is no 3G.
